Great Media Attention for Consid’s Major Contract in Norway
Last week, the new agreement between Consid AS and the northern Norwegian municipality of Alta was presented. The deal has attracted considerable media attention and been mentioned in both the industry and local press.
– It’s fantastic that we are getting this attention. Compared to Sweden, we are a smaller player, but we still manage to win major prestige contracts like this, says Steffen Breen, CEO of Consid AS.
The agreement with Alta Municipality is for the development and maintenance of a new intranet and is signed for two years with the possibility of an extension for a maximum of six years, divided into two years at a time.
Several Norwegian media – including the trade media Digi.no, Kampanje and Computer World – have written about the agreement.
– One of the reasons we were awarded the contract is our strong commitment to sustainability. We are, as one of the few IT companies, approved by the Science Based Target Initiative, which means that we work with strict sustainability goals. The Norwegian government’s goal of reducing the municipalities’ climate footprint goes hand in hand with our commitment, says Steffen Breen.
The local newspaper Altaposten also published a story about the municipality’s new partner. The intranet will be built in Sitevision, which enables the user to customise and scale up as needed.
– Consid has a long history of working with Sitevision. Several of the projects in Sweden have been nominated for and won awards for their execution. It feels inspiring to have the opportunity to do the same here in Norway, concludes Steffen Breen.
