AB Kristianstadsbyggen Chooses Consid for Its Digitalisation Initiative
Municipal housing company AB Kristianstadsbyggen, with its 9,300 rental apartments, is one of the key players in Kristianstad’s housing market. As it embarks on a major digitalisation initiative, the company has chosen to partner with the tech consultancy firm Consid.

Founded in 1950 and deeply embedded in the local rental market, AB Kristianstadsbyggen plays a vital role in Kristianstad Municipality. One of the core principles of a municipal housing company is to create a socially sustainable living environment while contributing to the city’s development.
A modern aspect of this development is digitalisation.
“We are delighted to initiate this digitalisation partnership with AB Kristianstadsbyggen, one of Sweden’s 25 largest municipal housing companies. ABK is embarking on an exciting digital journey while simultaneously preparing for its most ambitious project to date – constructing and managing the new Kristianstad University campus in the city centre! It is both an honour and a privilege for Consid to be part of this initiative,” says Kajsa Nilsson, Account Manager and responsible for the framework agreement with AB Kristianstadsbyggen.
The framework agreement spans the next four years and may include various areas such as business development, the creation and enhancement of systems and platforms, as well as cybersecurity, AI, and cloud strategy.
The upcoming collaboration with ABK is an example of Consid’s strategic focus on working with public sector clients, a key segment of its customer base. This strategy has been in place since the company was founded at the turn of the millennium and has grown in significance alongside Consid’s expansion.
The digitalisation project marks the second agreement between Consid and ABK in a short period. As recently as March 2024, ABK launched its new web portal, developed in collaboration with Consid’s team in Kristianstad.
“For Consid in Kristianstad, it is essential to be actively involved in the city’s development and the region’s growth. We are thrilled to support ABK in its digitalisation journey, allowing us to play an even greater role in the evolution of our local community. One of our major strengths is having a local office combined with the expertise of the entire Consid network, ensuring that ABK gets the right specialists for their specific needs at each stage of the process,” says Roger Olofsson, Office Manager at Consid Kristianstad.
ABK welcomes the opportunity to collaborate with a digitalisation partner, as this represents an entirely new way of working for the company.
“With Consid as our partner, we look forward to taking the next step in our digital journey and further developing our services to better meet the needs of our employees while remaining an attractive landlord. We are confident that this collaboration will contribute to a more sustainable and innovative future for ABK and Kristianstad,” says Karl-Henrik Persson, Procurement Manager at AB Kristianstadsbyggen.
