Consid Advances AI Use in UX-design to Drive Innovation

More and more UX designers at Consid have started to use AI regularly in their work. The IT company’s goal is to continuously evaluate and implement AI in their design processes. After several strategic initiatives, a lot of encouragement, and considerable planning, the company is now seeing results.

In recent years, Consid has focused on AI, particularly in UX design. In March 2023, 37 percent of UX experts reported regularly using AI tools in their work. About 14 months later, that number had risen to 65 percent, representing a 75 percent increase.

Madeleine Kusoffsky, UX Business Lead at Consid, is a strong advocate for AI tools in the field.

– We have actively encouraged our UX designers to participate in forums on AI and UX. We have organized lectures on AI and service design with leading researchers and conducted experiments within our community to find practical AI applications.

Within UX, Consid has set a goal to constantly evaluate and implement AI in their design deliveries. This persistence has now made such deliveries possible.

– All parts of our UX offering improve as more people use them. In the conceptual phase of the design process, AI serves as a creative springboard, where generated suggestions can spark an entirely new design direction. Knowing when, how, and why we use AI in UX makes us better equipped to be a creative partner for clients to find the right application of new technology without compromising accessibility or user focus.

The use of AI in UX has many benefits, including streamlining work and ensuring quality results. Madeleine Kusoffsky shares a client case where the use of AI played a crucial role when the client was short on time.

– By using AI, we were able to analyze discussions on online forums where users shared their experiences and opinions about similar services. The AI analysis quickly identified the target audience’s needs and ‘pain points’ from a large amount of data. It would have taken several days to accomplish this manually.

Consid’s investment in AI across several of the company’s areas has yielded positive results for both the company and its customers.

– It shows an openness to innovation and a desire to be an active player in development; we do not shy away from shaping best practices for AI. We know our customers well and keep their needs in mind as we explore the possibilities with AI.

She continues:
