Consid and Save the Children Form a New Strategic Partnership

Save the Children is launching a new strategic partnership with the IT and communications company Consid. The goal is to combine Consid's expertise in technology and branding with Save the Children's extensive experience in advocating for children's rights and safety. Through this collaboration, both parties aim to develop innovative solutions for children in both the physical and digital worlds, as well as raise awareness about Save the Children's work both in Sweden and internationally.

– Save the Children upholds a strong ethos, always placing children at the center of its mission. Through this partnership, we aim to support their work—both through targeted initiatives and long-term engagement—by leveraging our respective areas of expertise, says Anna Edstedt, Partnership Manager at Consid.

Save the Children has a longstanding tradition of advocating for children’s rights both in Sweden and globally. The organization implements initiatives to protect children from violence, abuse, and discrimination while ensuring their voices are heard in matters concerning their future.

With the rapid advancement of digitalization, children’s online safety has become an increasingly critical issue. Save the Children was an early advocate in recognizing the importance of safeguarding children in both digital and physical environments. Over the past years, the organization has launched several initiatives aimed at supporting both children and adults in navigating the digital world safely.

– Every child has the right to a safe childhood, free from violence, abuse, and discrimination. Through our collaboration with Consid, we at Save the Children are strengthening our capacity by adding valuable resources and expertise. This will enable us to remain present where children are, equipped with the right knowledge and tools, says Jaana Kovalainen, Head of Financing and Partnerships at Save the Children.

To support middle school-aged children, Save the Children has developed “Safe Online!”, a program designed to facilitate discussions about digital life. Additionally, the platform Lilla RB provides knowledge, positivity, and engagement for children aged 9–12 through interactive and playful content. Another key initiative is the Digital Field Assistant, a “digital night patrol” operating within gaming platforms to identify signs of bullying, harassment, or mental distress. When such concerns arise, the organization reaches out to affected children to offer support and guidance.

For adults, resources and guidance are available on how to discuss children’s digital lives, covering topics such as screen time, online hate and threats, and digital abuse.

– Save the Children has launched several initiatives that align closely with our work in social sustainability. They also share Consid’s innovative mindset and commitment to progress. Their digital initiatives aimed at protecting children online and within the gaming world strongly resonate with our mission. We look forward to contributing our expertise and resources to strengthen these efforts, says Anna Edstedt.

The strategic partnership between Consid and Save the Children forms part of a broader initiative to integrate technological innovation with social responsibility. Through this collaboration, both organizations aim to create a safer future for children in both the physical and digital realms.
