Consid recruits three top names for Umeå office

Just over two months ago, the IT giant Consid expanded its operations to Umeå. Today, the office already boasts a team of around ten employees, and earlier in May, the company recruited three top professionals, including Jan Bidner, the new Office Manager.

For Jan Bidner, creating user-centered digital solutions has always been a top priority. In fact, it was the lack of this very focus that led him to leave the industry after nearly 15 years at Sogeti and Umeå University. After a brief stint in his own company, Bidnerdonethat, and the communication agency Gullers Grupp, he has returned to the IT field.

– I am passionate about digitalizing businesses and doing it the right way. There are numerous examples of IT failures due to insufficient planning and a lack of best practices. I find it challenging when the focus is on finding solutions without thoroughly understanding the problem, says Jan Bidner.

Two newcomers

However, Jan Bidner is not the only top professional that Consid has recruited for its Umeå office. Chauqline Bredberg, HR and Recruitment Manager, and Sebastian Sandberg, Consulting Manager, are both highly regarded figures in the industry. Sebastian Sandberg, one of the office’s first consultants, has been promoted, while Chauqline Bredberg joins after several years at some of the country’s most prestigious educational institutions.

Consid’s top talent in Umeå joins the company during an expansive phase. Although relatively new to Umeå, both employees and clients have a sense that Consid has been present for some time. The ten employees have strong roots in the area, and many have chosen to return home with Consid’s establishment, fostering a familial atmosphere in the office. Furthermore, the company already has several significant client contracts in place, and there is a high demand for additional positions. The goal is to reach 30 employees by the end of 2024.

“Umeå’s best IT workplace”

Jan Bidner has a clear vision for his role as Office Manager: to make Consid’s Umeå office the city’s premier IT workplace. This vision is reinforced by Consid’s subscription to the award for Sweden’s Best Employer over the past two years.

– I believe we will succeed. We have a solid foundation at the office, with competent consultants who are also very kind. The positive atmosphere we have will undoubtedly rub off on anyone who joins our organization, says Jan Bidner.

Another aspect of “Umeå’s best IT workplace” is the output delivered to clients.

– Digitalization should be based on the needs of individuals and businesses. For me, it’s about professional pride. We should not deliver ready-made technological solutions for the sake of technology itself. Ill-conceived solutions that fail to explore the problem, needs, and user context with proper behavior activation trigger my aversion,” explains Jan Bidner.
