Since entering the German market, Consid has distinguished itself with its Swedish business and corporate culture. Recently, this was highlighted in the Cultitalk podcast – a show focused on employer branding and HR topics.

“The Scandinavian Way” has become a guiding principle in Consid’s expansion in Germany. From the very beginning, it was clear that one of the company’s key differentiators was its unique approach. Even today, two years after its establishment, the fascination with Swedish corporate values remains strong.
The company’s strategy and culture were the main topics of discussion when Daniel Lupzig, People & Culture Manager at Consid GmbH, joined Cultitalk host Georg Wolfgang.

“You come from Sweden and have a strong set of values rooted in that culture. At the same time, Germany is a different market with a different corporate environment. How do you balance the two?”, the host Georg Wolfgang wondered.

– That’s a great question! It’s something we discuss daily. We are a company with Swedish roots, but German corporate culture differs in many ways. In Sweden, brainstorming and collaborative workshops are common ways to develop ambitious visions, whereas Germans tend to be more structured and results-oriented. We aim to take the best of both worlds – the bold visions from Sweden combined with German rationality and execution power. We have a flat organizational structure and actively involve our employees in decision-making to foster engagement, explains Daniel Lupzig.

Consid’s approach is deeply rooted in three core values: Entrepreneurship, Engage, and Effect. In Germany, the company is committed to establishing and embodying these principles, using them as a foundation for how it operates, grows, and drives impact. However, Consid recognizes that a strong corporate culture is not built through rules alone—it flourishes when employees make it their own.

“So, your internationalization strategy is to establish local entities with their own legal structure while maintaining the Swedish corporate culture?”, Danel was asked by the host.

– Exactly! We established a GmbH in Germany at the end of 2022 and have been fully operational since March 2023. Maintaining a strong local presence is essential to us. At the same time, we can leverage our 2,000 employees in Sweden and assign them to projects in Germany, which we have already started doing. However, our ambition is to build a strong local organization tailored to the German market, he explained.
