Consid’s ECEC sets new participation records

The Corporate E-sports Championship (ECEC), will take place between April 15th and 18th. The organizer is proud to announce a record-breaking interest in the competition.

ECEC will take place on April 15 to 18.

– The interest in e-sports is growing, and since we decided to allow companies from all over Europe to participate in ECEC, we have received numerous registrations, says Amanda Heldring, the event’s project manager.

The European Championship will feature two games, CS:2 and Rocket League, using a double-elimination format, guaranteeing each team to play at least two matches. Matches will run concurrently, allowing each person to register for only one of the games. The high registration pressure is causing slots to “fill up quickly.”

– Teams consist of three players for Rocket League and five for CS:2. Since we aim to crown Europe’s best e-sports company, all team members must come from the same company. However, we have no upper limit on the number of teams that can register – but it’s safe to say that we are reaching a substantial number, explains Amanda Heldring.

Last year, Consid organized a similar competition as a national championship. The format remains the same as they scale up the event.

– Exactly, matches will take place outside of office hours. The first match starts at 17:30. You can watch everything live on Consid’s Twitch channel, and on the final evening of April 18th, we will have a live broadcast with Tilde ‘7licious’ Byström as the expert commentator. It was highly appreciated last year, and we believe that this year’s larger edition will be even better.

In addition to the title of Europe’s best company in e-sports, teams are competing for prize money. A total of SEK 70,000 is up for grabs, with winners receiving SEK 12,000 for Rocket League and SEK 20,000 for CS:2.

Registration is open until a week before the first competition day, on April 8th.
