Consid’s Gender Equality Initiative Nominated for Two Awards
Through its efforts to promote women in the male-dominated IT and tech industries, Q by Consid has grown into a powerful platform for change and inclusion. Consid's gender equality initiative has gained significant attention and has now been nominated for both the Svenska Jämställdhetspriset and the newly introduced Jämställdhetsraketen 2025.
Consid’s Q by Consid initiative has been nominated for two prestigious awards by Forum Jämställdhet. The first, the Svenska Jämställdhetspriset, is a well-recognized honor celebrating companies or initiatives that have contributed to creating a more gender-equal society.
The second award, Jämställdhetsraketen 2025, is a new category introduced this year, focusing on recognizing the most innovative and bold initiatives in gender equality work.
– This is so incredibly exciting! How amazing is it that all the hard work we do is being seen and heard! It’s thanks to everyone’s engagement across all locations, says Filippa Ahlcrona, National Head of Q by Consid.
Q by Consid was launched in 2013 with the goal of increasing gender equality and inclusion in the IT and tech industries, which are known for being male-dominated. Since its inception, the initiative has expanded significantly and now includes several programs, including Q Mentoria, a mentorship program for women interested in IT and tech.
– All research shows how unequal the IT industry is, which is why we have to work on this constantly, at every level – with leadership, consultants, recruitment, and within our offices. Knowledge about gender equality and behaviors must be continuously maintained, as it’s something that’s always evolving. That’s why I’m particularly happy to be working at Consid, and to see the company investing in such efforts, adds Filippa Ahlcrona.
The winners of both awards will be announced during the Forum Jämställdhet conference in Lund, on February 5–6, 2025.
