Consid’s Head of Communications Named Employer Branding Role Model of the Year

In September, Anna Edstedt took over as the new Head of Communications at Consid. Now, another highlight has arrived in an already impressive autumn – during Career Day at Berns, Anna Edstedt was named Employer Branding Role Model of the Year by Karriärföretag (Career Company).

“Anna Edstedt at Consid is a true role model in employer branding. With her passionate commitment and strategic thinking, she has successfully led her team in creating a dynamic and inspiring workplace. Anna has a unique ability to attract talent while building a strong sense of community and security within the company. Through a range of initiatives and activities, she has contributed to making Consid a company that offers exceptional career opportunities,” read the jury’s statement when Anna Edstedt was crowned Employer Branding Role Model of the Year 2024 on Wednesday.

The winner was noticeably moved by the award.

– Wow, just being nominated is incredibly cool. It’s not by chance – it’s a long-term and sustainable effort that we put in every day to reach the ambition of creating the employer that we all want to work for.

What is your top employer branding tip?

– I would say the most important thing is that the efforts you make come from the heart. Quality over quantity. At Consid, we have several happenings each year where we have clear frameworks for the events, but each office adds its own twist, which usually leads to great results. The same applies to more operational news. If you do those kinds of efforts well, it becomes very easy to create communication around them.

Anna has been part of Consid’s communications department for the past two years, while also leading the company’s equality platform Q by Consid and taking on the role of partner manager. Bringing these three areas closer together has been an important part of strengthening Consid as both an employer and a company.

Under Anna’s leadership, Q by Consid has risen to become one of the industry’s largest and most influential equality programs. With a 100% growth rate, interest in the platform’s various parts has skyrocketed, both for the physical meetups within Q Meet and the incredibly popular mentorship program Q Mentoria.

– Q is a fantastic platform that has taught me so much. It’s a creative environment that shapes strong women in an industry where we’ve long not had a natural place. We’ve made some progress, but we are far from done, says Anna, who has now passed on the baton for Q and is focusing on other matters.

In September, she was appointed Head of Communications at the billion-dollar company, making her one of the youngest leaders in the industry – and a woman, no less.

– It’s not something I envisioned when I was hired two years ago. We have an absolutely fantastic team that is a joy to work with daily. In a way, it might also be proof that Consid’s efforts through Q are not just for show or to boost a ‘goodness index’ – it’s an actual strategy where we give opportunities, says Anna Edstedt.

Consid has been designated as the Career Company of 2024. This marks the ninth consecutive year that the company has received this distinction, a feat achieved by only four other companies in the past.
