No, the CEO Has Not Been Replaced by an AI – April Fools!
Yesterday, Consid announced that CEO Peter Hellgren had been replaced by an AI avatar named PeterGPT – a high-tech experiment in which algorithms, binary code, and AI-generated jazz took over the company’s leadership. Today, Consid can officially confirm: it was all an April Fools’ joke.
The prank was a playful way for Consid to highlight both the opportunities and challenges that come with emerging technology. While Consid strongly believes in innovation, the human element remains central to effective leadership.
– The goal was to spark a conversation – with a touch of humor – about AI and the future of work. Technology is a powerful tool, but it’s people who set the direction. I’m still the CEO, and I plan to stay that way, says Peter Hellgren with a smile.
Technology with a Human Touch
While PeterGPT was entirely fictional, the concept behind the joke reflects a very real trend. AI is already integrated into many parts of Consid’s operations, and the company sees great potential in how it can enhance decision-making, streamline processes, and unlock new business opportunities.
– Consid is constantly exploring new technologies across various parts of the organization. But even in a future where AI is a natural collaborator, human leadership will remain essential, says Peter Hellgren.
What Happens Now?
PeterGPT has officially been logged out. Internal meetings are once again held in Swedish (not binary code), and the coffee machines are back to serving regular coffee – not “AI-optimized caffeinated fluid.”
Consid extends a big thank you to everyone who played along, shared a laugh, and helped make this April Fools’ Day a memorable one.
