Packnews Highlights Consid’s Collaboration with Coca-Cola
The most important e-sports hackathon of the year is back. Considition will focus on reducing the environmental impact of Coca-Cola Sweden’s disposable packaging. The industry magazine Packnews recently highlighted the collaboration between Consid and Coca-Cola in an article.
“Together with Coca-Cola in Sweden, this year’s Considition will focus on developing solutions for the future sustainable beverage consumption, leveraging intelligent algorithms. While significant progress is being made within the food industry to reduce its climate impact, many challenges remain, particularly concerning packaging. This year’s participants will be challenged to create an algorithm that encourages more consumers to choose more sustainable ways of consuming beverages,” writes Packnews.
Therese Sundberg, Sustainability Manager at Coca-Cola Europacific Partners Sweden, told Packnews that Considition will be an essential step in achieving the company’s ambitious climate goals.
– We have high sustainability targets, including reaching net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across the entire value chain by 2040. To achieve this, reducing the climate footprint from packaging is crucial. This year’s hackathon challenge provides us with an opportunity to develop AI solutions for the future of sustainable beverage consumption. We welcome everyone, regardless of previous experience, to participate and help us build a sustainable future for people and the planet.
Peter Hellgren, CEO of Consid, said,
As one of Sweden’s largest hackathons, Considition attracts hundreds of teams, including up to 400 of Sweden’s sharpest developers. The competition has been running since 2017, with several large and fast-growing companies as clients. In previous years, companies like Axfoundation and Budbee have been involved in organizing the competition, reported Packnews.
– Considition is much more than just a hackathon. Participants create concrete solutions for some of the greatest challenges of our time. I have high expectations for this year’s competition, and it will be incredibly exciting to see what the participants have developed, Peter Hellgren, CEO of Consid, told Packnews.
