The prestigious award is presented annually to an individual, organization, or initiative that has utilized the opportunities of digitalization in an exceptionally honorable way to make a real difference.

With over 15 years of experience as Editor-in-Chief of Sweden’s largest business newspaper, Peter Fellman has not only established himself as one of Sweden’s most respected voices in business journalism but also as a visionary leader in a constantly evolving media industry.

– It feels fantastic, says Peter Fellman in the Swedish podcast Digitala influencer-podden, where the winners are revealed sporadically.

The jury’s motivation for this honorable award reads as follows:

“For a long time, he has been one of the most respected voices in Swedish business journalism, and his ability to navigate the challenges of digital transformation is an achievement in itself. Dagens Industri has maintained its relevance and leading role thanks to its ability to foresee and adapt to changes in the media landscape. For outstanding contributions and leadership in the media industry, the 2024 Digital Honorary Award is presented to Peter Fellman.”

Peter Fellman’s career has been characterized by a unique ability to combine journalistic precision with business-oriented leadership.

– The best part of being an editor-in-chief is having the opportunity to influence the society we live in and to work on what feels most exciting at the moment.

According to Peter, one of the keys to successful leadership is creating an environment where it is okay to make mistakes.

– I think that’s incredibly important. I believe that, especially in Sweden, we are afraid of making mistakes, compared to Finland, where people seem to care less about how they appear. I also believe we do a much better job if we are driven by passion and enjoyment, rather than fear and insecurity.

With his sharp focus on the core of news reporting and his ability to implement digital solutions, Peter Fellman has ensured that Dagens Industri remains a leading force in the Swedish media landscape.

Previous recipients of the Digital Honorary Award include Danny Lam in 2022 and Frida Boisen in 2023.
