Q by Consid nominated as the Nordic Gender Equality Initiative of the Year

– I am deeply honored; it feels fantastic that the work I and many others do through Q is getting this attention, says Anna Edstedt, Head of Q at Consid.

The Consid platform Q could later this year be awarded as the Initiative of the Year. Q by Consid has been part of the operation for a while, but under Anna Edstedt’s leadership in the last two years, both the intensity and interest in the platform have increased significantly.

– We felt early on when I started working with Q that there is tremendous potential and a place to take for both the company and Q by Consid. From there, there has been a lot of hard work — but mainly laughter, interesting meetings, and a lot of inspiration from the strong female role models within the industry.

The award will be presented at the Nordic Women in Tech gala, which is annually organized by the organization Wonder Coders. The goal of the awards and the gala is to highlight women in tech and IT who have stood out during the year.

This is the first time Anna Edstedt and Q by Consid are being recognized in an international context, but it’s far from the last.

– Since I started at Consid two years ago, we have gone from a large company in Sweden to a multinational company with the entire Northern Europe as our arena. Unfortunately, the same dismal trend exists in Germany, Finland, and Denmark as it does in Sweden: women are grossly underrepresented in tech and IT. Q by Consid is a positive force needed in an industry of the future. For both me and Consid, it is obvious that Q should be a natural part of the entire Consid concept. We are launched in Denmark and Norway, have started our work in Germany, and will continue with the same passion as we do here at home, says Anna Edstedt.
