Rapid Growth Journey for Consid in Nyköping
When Consid started in Nyköping four years ago, the office had two employees. Today, 24 people work at the workplace, and there will be more in the future. Södermanlands Nyheter visited the office and met Gustav Söderström, the local manager at Consid, to talk more about Consid's journey so far and new future plans.
In recent years, Consid, a consulting firm specializing in communication, marketing, and IT, has embarked on an almost improbable journey of growth.
The Nyköping office was established in 2019. At that time, Consid had 800 employees across 25 locations in Sweden. Today, the company employs 2,000 individuals and operates in 39 locations across six different countries.
The pace of growth in Nyköping appears to be quite similar. According to Gustav Söderström, there are several contributing factors. Within the IT industry, there is a significant shortage of skilled labor – approximately 70,000 IT specialists are in demand. Since its inception, Consid has aimed to create a culture that fosters employee satisfaction, a key factor in its success, as Gustav Söderström explained to Södermanlands Nyheter.
– We aspire to be Sweden’s foremost employer, both in retaining our current employees and in attracting new talent. We have achieved considerable success in this endeavor, maintaining a low turnover rate within the industry, he stated.
Consid’s Nyköping office offers a comprehensive range of IT services, including expertise in digital transformation, management, app development, and a team of UX designers, CRO/SEO specialists, and service designers. Additionally, there is a significant presence of senior .NET developers and a substantial group of test managers and Java developers.
This year, the company was once again recognized as a ‘Gasellföretag’ (Gazelle Company) by Dagens industri – an accolade bestowed upon rapidly growing businesses. This is not the first time; Consid has received this award ten times in the past 13 years.
– In fact, only two other companies in Sweden have received the award ten times, placing us in a rather exclusive club, remarked Gustav Söderström.
