Sörmland News Highlights Consid’s AI Initiative On The Front Page
Sörmland News dedicates both the front page and a feature article to Consid’s AI event. The reporter was present at a packed Nyköping office as another “Morning Talk by Consid” was organized, this time focusing on AI.
The seminar covered a wide range of topics, including the impact of AI on the job market.
“We have always seen changes in job tasks throughout history. What is happening now is that the pace of change is very rapid, and it will be important to be able to learn new things,” says Patrik Zetterström, AI expert at Consid, to the newspaper.
The panel consisted of Patrik Zetterström, Johan Varenius, Operations Manager at Agro Sörmland, Erik Molitor, Machine Learning Development Engineer at SSAB, and Peter Lövgren, teacher in Oxelösund and head of KomTek. The moderation was done by Consid’s Emma Fahlstedt.
The topic is hot, as evidenced by the packed venue where stakeholders from the local business community in Nyköping, Oxelösund, Trosa, and Vagnhärad gathered to listen to what experts and local representatives from schools, industries, and agriculture had to say on the subject.
Johan Varenius from Agro Sörmland sees it as a natural progression for AI to be used more extensively in agriculture, which is already highly technology-driven.
“There is still a romanticized image of farmers leaning on their pitchforks. But stepping into a modern tractor is like stepping into a spaceship,” he says.
