Who are Consid’s Web Team in Örebro, Sweden?
We step into the Consid office in Örebro, Sweden, and are greeted by one of our web teams, who work collaboratively on the development and management of various web solutions. The web team consists of 18 individuals, ranging from developers, solution architects, web analysts, UX/UI designers to project and management leaders.
– Our Web Team was established in Örebro in 2018. Initially, we exclusively delivered new development projects, but as the number of satisfied clients grew, so did the team and our delivery capacity. Today, we provide comprehensive digital solutions to over 50 clients, spanning both new development and management, shares Aggi Ahlnäs, responsible for the team’s management delivery.
“We’ve Substantially Grown as a Team“
To kick off the week, the entire team gathers digitally and in-person for a status check they call “Motivation Monday.” The aim is to ensure everyone in the team is aligned, gain insight into ongoing assignments, and determine if anyone requires assistance from the team. Business status and recruitment updates are discussed, ensuring everyone is aware of ongoing developments.
– Now that we’ve substantially grown as a team, Motivation Monday is a way for all of us to come together, understand what our colleagues are working on, and have the opportunity to discuss matters with the whole team, says Filip Huhta, developer and lead for the integration part of the team.
The web team works on comprehensive digital solutions based on the Sitevision platform. They offer clients end-to-end delivery, from new projects to management and various integration solutions.
– Aggi Ahlnäs and I lead an absolutely fantastic team! It’s the competence of our developers and the commitment within the team that has allowed us to grow rapidly and successfully. To sustain this commitment, we continuously work on collectively developing and streamlining our offering, processes, and contemplate how we can expand the business, explains Malin Andersson, responsible for the team’s project delivery.
The Key Advantages of being a part of the Web Team
In their consulting roles, team members juggle multiple projects and clients concurrently. It’s the variety and diverse challenges they regard as significant benefits of their job. The other advantage is the team itself; they live by the motto “There’s no I in Team.”
– I enjoy the interaction with clients. When you find a spot-on solution for their needs and witness our skilled developers bringing it to life, it’s a rewarding experience, shares Martin Ahlqvist, senior solution architect.
– I work with both frontend development and UX and find the combination very satisfying. It allows me to channel my creativity and constantly enhance my coding skills. I also appreciate the significant customer interaction and the responsibility I can take in structuring my work, explains Cecilia Wendin.
Working with Over 50 Clients
The team collaborates with over 50 clients, spanning both new development and management. In the previous year, 2022, they collectively carried out 18 website launches. Some of the clients they work with include Karlstad Municipality, the County Administrative Board, the Swedish National Council for Crime Prevention, Kommunals a-kassa, and Malung-Sälen Municipality.
– Because each of our clients has distinct needs, no delivery is the same as another. This constant diversity motivates us to continually think innovatively about how best to solve the client’s problems or desires, explains Robert Johanson, developer in the integration section of the team.
– What challenges me the most is working on the larger projects. Analyzing the requirements a client has for a project and identifying solutions to meet these demands. It’s not only about finding a solution for the specific requirement; one needs to identify the best approach based on the existing conditions, says Alexander Lesser, who is also a developer in the team and is also part of the integration section.
How the Web Team Initiates New Projects
To facilitate their work on new projects, they’ve collectively developed a boilerplate. This template outlines how they set up websites, encompassing scripts, styling, and code formatting. This boilerplate has now become the standard “way of work” for Consid’s entire delivery within Sitevision. The initiative for the boilerplate came from Rasmus Eriksson, developer and UX designer, who is part of the management section.
– Our boilerplate makes development both simpler and more enjoyable, explains Joanna Möllberg, developer in the project part of the team.
Describe the Team in One Word?
We gather for lunch, witnessing their team spirit once again. We take the opportunity to ask them to describe the web team in one word. The recurring responses we receive are “open-minded,” “community,” “laughter,” “helpful,” “knowledge”, “developing,” and above all, we notice that the team is tightly knit.
– What I appreciate most about the team is its open-mindedness. No idea is too poor, and everyone is a great person to bounce ideas off of, says developer Frida Gustafsson, who is part of the project section of the team.
