About the course
This course teaches you how to apply a Lean-Agile way of working by writing Epics, Enablers, Features and User Stories within the framework of SAFe®. By applying a Lean-Agile approach, you will increase the ability to deliver value to your organization and customers. Finally, you’ll learn about continuous delivery management and DevOps culture, how to effectively integrate Safe® as a Product owner and Product leader, and what it takes to continuously deliver value.
Course goal and content
To be successful in the role as SAFe® Product Owner/Product Manager, participants learn to:
- Apply SAFe in a Lean-Agile organization
- Understand the difference between program and team levels
- Merge and apply Lean-Agile principles and values to PO/PM roles in SAFe® Framework
- Collaborate with Lean Portfolio Management
- Align system development and business development through PI planning (Product Increment)
- Implement PI planning and contribute to delivering continuous value
- Master the Product Owner and Product Manager role according to SAFe®
- Create product plans and how to prioritize in short-term and long-term perspectives.
Prerequisites
This course is open to individuals at all levels of experience within your organization, and everyone is welcome to participate.
However, the following prerequisites are highly recommended for those intending to pursue the SAFe® 4 Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) certification exam:
- Completion of the Leading SAFe® course
- Prior Requirements management experience
- Prior work experience in a SAFe Environment
- Prior experience of other Lean-Agile practices.
