About the course
The ISTQB Foundation certification course is a basic course in software testing that provides a general understanding of testing principles independent of the development life cycle model. The course explains essential concepts to streamline communication and fosters an understanding of various development and testing models and how testing is tailored accordingly. You will also learn various testing techniques, review methods, issue management, test management, as well as how to comprehend the project factors that drive test priorities and methods, enabling you to explain the value that software testing brings to stakeholders.
Content
The course follows ISTQB 4.0 Foundation Level Syllabus and includes the following:
- Fundamentals of testing
- What is testing and why is it necessary?
- Models of software development life cycles, including test levels and test types
- Static testing and reviews
- Various testing techniques, including black-box and white-box, as well as exploratory testing techniques
- Test management
- Management of tool support for testing

- To certify your knowledge and allow you to use the title Certified Tester
Prerequisites
No formal prerequisites are required, but basic understanding of software systems it is recommended.
Tester certificate
ISTQB Foundation is an internationally recognized certification that provides formal proof of fundamental testing competence. Being certified as a Foundation Level software tester also allows you to progress to higher certification levels within ISTQB, specialized domains, or advanced levels.
After the course, a certification exam will be held, and upon passing, you will receive the ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level certificate.

All digital course material in English is included. The course is conducted in Swedish.
Duration
6 half-day sessions or 3 full days (the final session, certification, is conducted online).
Course type
The course is customizable for closed groups and can be held on-site or online.
